Today is a very special day - our eighth wedding anniversary! It's special in spirit rather than events because this is our second busiest work day of the week. Since we don't get to see each other today we spent some special time together over the weekend. Addison went to Ray's dad's Saturday afternoon & stayed the night again so Ray called his mom to see if she could watch Kate. Not only did his mom say yes, she also offered to keep her overnight!
So, the debate began. Where do we eat dinner? We had a gift certificate for Outback & one for Longhorn. We also had coupons for free appetizers at both. Outback won, simply because it was closer. I love The Thunder From Down Under there, but by the end of the meal we were both way too full to order one!
We rented The Blind Side & went home to watch it. Don't kill me, but I only thought it was okay. It was good, don't get me wrong, but a little slow. And, I was a little bored during the football sequence. I think it probably would've been better if they'd shortened it by about 30 minutes (I'm sure this had nothing to do with the fact that I was in a mood to watch a chick flick that night!)
It was so nice having a night out together - no kids to feed while we ate, no one crawling into bed with us & waking me up in the middle of the night, & we could turn up the tv & watch the movie without subtitles! What a luxury now - the things I never really thought about before having kids of my own!
