the essence

Yesterday was SOOOOOO much fun. My mom, dad, & Megan came over before 10 in the morning so that we could bake Christmas cookies. WE made three different kinds & so far today I've made sausage balls. YUM! Last night my mom & I did some Christmas shopping & I hope that I'm almost done with mine. I need to go work on Val & Raqch's present. Just a warning, ya'll won't be getting yours until after Christmas. Sorry, I've just been busy & these take a while to get done after I've ordered them. You'll see what I mean.

Ray & I are going over to this guys house that he knows from work. We're going to decorate Christmas cookies with him & his girlfriend. The 4 of us hang out sometimes & double date & stuff. They're really nice & normally I wouldn't really mind going over there but tonight is Trent & Allison's Christmas party that I hadn't planned on going to but then this week I've been kind of homesick so I started to change my mind. I had COMPLETELY forgotten that we'd agreed to go decorate Christmas cookies tonight. I guess it's appropriate that yesterday morning I read the verse in Prov 13 "Hope deferred makes the heart sick". Oh well, I'll survive.

I've gotta go work on those presents.
