the essence

Saturday, was lots of fun. Val came over late morning & we went & picked up her wedding dress!!! It is SO gorgeous! I wish I had gone to the same place to look for mine. Anyway, after that we looked at tiara's & then of course we had to go to Starbucks. When we got back to my place she tried on her dress & then I put mine on too! I hadn't worn it since the wedding (I even found birdseed remnants) but it still fits perfectly! :) Anyway, Ray humored us & took our pictures and we paraded around my apartment for awhile feeling like princesses. :) Now we just have to find Rachel's dress & she can come over & join us. :)

After Val left Ray & I went over to my boss's place for a barbeque she was having. It was fun, there were some people from work thare & a few others I didn't know. They have a 13 year old daughter & it was so funny because she interacted with Ray the way that Megan does. I think they both needed older brothers while growing up. :) We played a lot of pool volleyball with her & sat in the hot tub. Everyone LOVED the cookies I brought too. In fact just a few minutes ago they asked me if I brought in any today to wrok! :) Anyway, the party was supposed to end at 8 but Ray & I stayed until after 10! It was fun but I was really tired by the end of the day.
