the essence

You know not many people read your blog when you can go for days without posting anything & no one comments. :) That's okay, I figure its not some "reader competition" to see who can get the most hits...its more of a way for me to keep in touch with multiple people who are close to me at one time without having to amke a ton of long distance phone calls & if anyone else wants to read it thats cool too. :)

I didn't go on the computer at all yesterday, just because I didn't have time...I never even turned it on. I spent all day cleaning running errands, but I feel so much better now having a more organized home. I also feel weird for feeling so good about having a clean place...why do it make me feel so relaxed & proud?

I wanted it clean for me, but having guests come over is good incentive too. And Heather is here for the weekend & it was her first time seeing my place, so of course I wanted it to look nice. We're having fun, although she's still asleep. We did the dinner at the mall thing & then shopped a little (I got the CUTEST skirt at Gap which I'm VERY excited about!!!) & the mall closed much to early so we went to Barnes & Noble where I of course got my frappuccino. Back at my place we just talked for awhile & we watched some of "About a Boy". I love that movie.

Today is Val's first shower & Rach is going to come to my place (just got off the phone with her) & we have to prepare some food to take with us & then we'll all drive over together. We also have to go early to help set up. I'm going to wear my new skirt with my black halter. :)

The guys are at Conrad's again this morning helping him cut down trees on his property. They're so funny, I think this kind of work makes them feel manly. :)

So, that's about it for now. Rach, Val & I are all still planning on heading over to mom's for Memorial day this Moday & I'm really excited about that (she is too!). We'll see what happens for the rest of the weeekend.
