Today was busy busy & I got some possibly great news!
As most of you know I'm looking for an internship right now. I've been praying about it-these marketig positions have been pretty scarce. Today I e-mailed my marketing research proessor about something for class and he e-mailed me back saying that the marketing faculty are looking for a research assistant and that he thought I'd be great for the job (he called me "smart & responsible" too-if I don't get the job at least that gave me a little boost!). He didn't think I'd want it because of the 40 mile commute but I told him I am interested & he wanted me to interview for it today.
Anyway, please pray for me about this-it sure seems like an answer to our prayers but Ray & I still need to talk about it. It would only pay a little less than where I am now, I would only work 20 hours a week, & I'm hoping I could transfer most of my classes from the Tampa campus to the St. Pete campus so I could work & go to school in the same place.
One of the really awesome things about it is that it's in the field of marketing research, which is exactly what I've been interested in after I graduate. But what were the chances of actually getting experience in that specific area? I was going to be happy if I could just get a job before graduation that had to do with my major. That's one reason why this seems like it could be such an answer to prayer!
Anyway, I don't to get myself too excited in case it doesn't work out. But prayers are appreciated. :)

On another note, I had so much fun at that Christmas party last night! We hadn't planned on staying the whole time. I wore my sexy little black dress, that makes me look so skinny, with my four inch heels. There were amazing hor dourves, which meant that the main course wasn't so hot. But the hordourves definitely made up for it! There was open bar and a good DJ.
For a little while all of the power went out, but there were so many candles (& some emergency lights) that it actually looked really nice without the rest of the lights on & you could see just fine.
Besides the food, the best part was the dancing. Several people from chapel work with Ray & one of the ladies, Aven, actually dances. She & her husband, Jerry, are really good & we were possibly going to take lessons from them. Anyway, they had this one dance where couples danced, hugged, & then had to pick someone else from the crowd to dance with them. Jerry came up & got me to dance with him. Ray hates to dance so he had run out of the room when they announced this particular dance! It was lots of fun, but I warned Jerry that I can't dance at all. He said to just follow him. I tried, but I still ended up stepping on his feet. Slightly embarrassing, but at least I didn't fall when he dipped me!
I couldn't get Ray out there at all, not even to slow dance with me. And normally I'm too shy to go out & dance, even though inside I'm dying to get up there. But since a couple of ladies from the chapel were there, when they went up to dance it didn't take them long to convince me to join them. I figure that everyone looks silly & that there's so many people up there that from a distance you can't even tell what's going on.
And I also, FINALLY, offically learned the electric slide. I'm still not very good at it but I had lots of fun. But it was hilarious to watch Aven shaking her booty when they played Sir Mix a Lots' "Baby Got Back."
Oh, I also came in second place in the hula hoop contest. It wasn't really done fairly, because if it was I would have a $25 restaurant gift certificate. Oh well, it was still fun & I know I could've won. :)

So, I did go to youth group tonight. I came so close to going home, but I knew Rach really wanted me there & taht Ruth wanted me there & I knew Ray would like it if I was there so I went. It was nice, but I was exhausted. And there were all of 5 kids that came. I'm not sure what happened to the group we used to have. But at least I really don't feel bad about not going to yg this year until tonight.
I'm just waiting for Ray to get home. Rach & Conrad were supposed to come over but at the last minute Conrad got called home by his family. :( Today is his birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONRAD!) so I guess they wanted to see him. I was kind of disappointed but I'll just immediately look at the good side-at least I can have an evening alone with Ray, relaxing, in my pj's. :)
