Another weekend over, another to look forward to. I try to make the most of every day, but sometimes its difficult to not just count down the work week dreading 8-9 hours couped up inside all day.
Randa & I left around 11 Saturday morning to drive to Orlando. I was hoping to beat out the rain (we did) & because of the damp weather it made for a much cooler drive for us since my a/c is still broken.
Mom bought us Tijuauna Flats for lunch (delicious nachos!) & I'm not sure what we did all afternoon. Well, I know we had some drinks. Mom's allergic to coffee & doesn't have it in the house anymore so what's a girl to do? Ask for a margarita! And a White Russian. (You can probably tell those are my two favorite drinks)
I know we watched Love Actually as well, Randa had never seen it & it is truly one of the best movies ever made. It puts me in such a happy sappy mood. :)
We went to my little cousin Gregory's birthday get together. We made a quick stop actually, ate some cake & split. There were too many screaming kids in too small of a space to stay for very long. Plus, we were on our way to City Walk.
It was fun, not as eventful as last time though. We ate at Hard Rock (I ate so much greasy food!) & walked the around & went in some different shops. The glow shop was kind of cool & we stopped in another touristy shop that had some very fun but dirty magnets. I wish they weren't so darn expensive because I would have LOVED some of them. Some were just plain cute, like the ones with funny sayings put to old pictures. One had a lady on it that said something along the lines of: "I don't exercise. If God had wanted me to bend over, he would have put diamonds on the floor." (a quote that I believe is attrivuted to Joan Rivers -yuck!)
That one made me laugh & I actually remembered it, I usually don't remember much that I think is funny.
We walked into Margaritaville & amazingly the same band was playing as the last time Iw as there. They were really incredibly horrible too. I realized that they sound a lot better once you've had a drink or two. And all I'd had was some of Randa's hurricane & it wasn't enough to cover the twangy nasaliness (is that a word?) of the guys voice. We quickly left & decided to just go home & watch a movie. Going places isn't as much fun if you don't have money to shell out. Next time I think we should buy the city pass - $10 gets you into all of the clubs, for $13 you can see a movie too.
Sunday we went to church & relaxed, watched ANOTHER movie (Randa is without a tv or computer at her apartment right now) & left from home around 3:00. One the way back we ran into one of the hurricane bands that dropped a bucketload of rain on us, slowing me down to 40MPH on I-4. It was bad, but thankfully didn't last long.
Anyway, once Megan sends me some pictures I may post them, although we didn't take too many this time.
