We have Internet access again! :)
Its nice to be "connected" but I've also enjoyed the extra time I've had not tied down to the computer.
Anyway, the wind is already blowing pretty well up here on the west coast, courtesy of "Katrina." I love when the weather is like this. I feel for the people down in south Florida right now but we sure do get a nice breeze up here from the storm.
Oh, and I am still cavity free. :) Apparently the sensitivity I've been experiencing is probably from cement left on my teeth from the braces (a very miniscule amount) & from using my teeth whitening products. The dentists' office tried to tell me I don't need to use those products because my teeth are white enough. Well of course they are people! If you'd seen them BEFORE I whitened them you'd know why I did.
It was a pretty weird office. Ray's been going there since he was a little kid but I'm not sure I'll ever go back.
When I stepped into the office I went back about 30 years. There was wood paneling on almost every wall, this horrible DARK green flat carpet, little skinny mini windows in the rooms high up on the wall, & old recliners in the waiting room!
It was a little weird, but the people were very nice. The thing that may keep me away from the office is that when the dentist came in to check out my teeth after they were cleaned, he just started working on them & applying this stuff the help with the sensitivity. I'm still not exactly sure what he was doing because no matter how many times I would ask him & those assisting him they wouldn't answer my questions. The way they would answer me was with an exasperated tone & they wouldn't tell me what was going on & they even seemed a little senile.
So, I won't go into more details but I was not happy with them after my appointment. Being nice doesn't make up for...I feel the word incompetence is too strong but I'm sure you know what I mean.
One nice thing was that the whole visit, x-rays & all, only cost $90. AND, they gave me my meds so I didn't have to fill a prescription (I have to be pre-medicated because of my mvp).
Anyway, I'm glad its the weekend. Even though I'm home a lot more now there's still some freedom with "the weekend." It means less pressure feeling you must get a lot of things done. If I had the funds I may go shopping. I really love shopping. GIve me shopping & coffee & I'm happy. :)
