the essence

I'm happily drinking a White Russian right now, my first drink in a LONG time. It tastes so good. :) It's so nice being here with my family in Orlando, we've never spent Christmas here like this before, usually the earliest we get here is Christmas Eve night. But, today is my Mom's 45th, I mean 29th, birthday! :) Happy birthday, Mom!!!

We had a family get together this morning & of course I had fun showing off Addison. She was a big hit all around. I took her to see Megan at work, too, & she seemed to have fun introducing the baby to her coworkers.

Addison did have her first trip to the mall two days ago. I was just going to go to the ghetto mall before Ray had to go to work but he had a lunch meeting on the other side of town by one of the nicer malls so I went along. While he was at lunch I went to the mall & got some great buys! Ray was dropped off & met up with me. I used my Old Navy gift certificate to get an adorable little denim skirt for Addison, I used my JC Penney's gift card & got a cute top & nude cami, & I used some Christmas money at New York & Co. - everything in the store was 50% off! I got two shirts & a black cami - it should have totalled around $90, I got it for around $36!

It's so nice to have some cute new tops that fit. And, it seems the styles have (thankfully) become a bit longer since I got pregnant. No more worrying about showing my belly! That was something I pretty much gave up on anyway, most of my shirts seemed to ride up a bit to show about an inch of belly & it was super annoying. I think I'll really enjoy these longer tops now.

Anyway, people should be arriving for my Mom's birthday celebration in about 10 minutes so I guess I better get going!
