Right now I'm drinking my homemade peppermint mocha from my Starbucks mug - another part of my Christmas gift from Erin. While not quite as yummy as actually getting one from Starbucks its good enough to hit the spot (at least this morning).
While I have this bit of alone time Ray is enjoying his morning tummy time with Addison. Every morning since we brought her home, except for one, this is how they spend their mornings together:
It's really sweet & Ray is adamant that he have this time with her. That is one nice thing about his job, he may work well into the morning hours, but at least he can be home in the mornings! It also gives me some free time & enables me to run some errands by myself (yesterday it allowed me to finish the Christmas shopping!).
When Addison has tummy time during the day its not unusual for her to scoot around a bit - this photo is from a week ago today.
But, sometimes she scoots/pushes herself off her mat (we've only had one incidence where she ended up completely on the floor).
Ray gets tired of all these different people saying "she's so strong!" because he says they say that about every baby. And, then our pediatrician said it, too! Oh well, we're just going to have to get used to people being more vocal about their opinions.
In other news, we booked our flights to go see Ruth & Ernie!!! I'm SO excited about this trip! We'll be gone January 31-February 6, almost a whole week! They live in PA & their little girl is about two months older than Addison & Ruth said we could just borrow her winter clothes for the baby while we're up there! I'm so glad I took the delayed flight offer when I went to see her last year! The voucher expires on February 10th, thus the reason for the time of our travel.
Anyway, I've been working on the birth announcements a bit & I'm not even close to have all of the gifts wrapped yet. I better get on the ball!
