Yes, my kitchen is painted green. I love the color green. It was a bit of a gamble painting the kitchen this color but most people seem to like it (& I love it so that's what's important). I also love the dark wood, which is funny, because I didn't like dark wood until after I met Ray (that's what he likes). The table is another favorite of mine. About a year ago I saved up my money to buy the high bistro type table for our kitchen.
Unfortunately, I don't spend as much time here as I'd like, for some reason I seem to usually seek out the comfortable sofa. But, I do love this space. I love having a nice ambiance.
I know that's one reason I like Starbucks, simply for the environment. The color schemes, the smells, the furniture (which is why I am very disappointed in their new design, I don't find it nearly as inviting!). This is also why I like Barnes & Noble over other bookstores. They also use the dark wood, greens & cream colors; I'm pretty sure they have a soft lighting too. I just don't find places like Books a Million & Borders inviting, the cold blues & harsh lights turn me away!
So yes, enivironment & comfort are very important to me & I love creating spaces that make me feel good!
