the essence

After two days of Florida summer rain over the weekend (the heavy down pour with thunder) I walked outside yesterday morning to find it to be surprisingly cool! It wasn't too hot or cold, there was a nice breeze, & the skies were clear & blue. Gorgeous! We even had the house open & the a/c never kicked on. I didn't think we'd have any more days like that before the start of summer.

When I woke up this morning it was around 50 degrees outside! I stepped outside only to find that the smoke has rolled into our area. Not only can you smell it but you can see it! The air is thick! There is even ash on our car. Blech. Bring on the rain!
