I first heard about this movie just recently when I read someone joking about mist being scary. I thought it sounded ridiculous until I saw the trailer & was amazed that they really can make mist seem scary!
I personally have not seen many Stephen King movies and I haven’t read any of his books. (You can reference the first paragraph to see why). But, I’ve always loved my mom’s story about the shining:
My mom is a teenager with three younger brothers. They live in rural Kentucky & their parents are out of town. She has decided this is the perfect time to read The Shining. Did I mention that they were snowed in because of a blizzard???
I know when my mom was younger she also read the Stephen King story about a man who mysteriously receives a box of toy soldiers in the mail. The soldiers end up coming to life & attacking the man. This story really freaked my mom out especially when one day she too mysteriously received a box of toy soldiers in the mail! Her eleven-year-old brother couldn’t pass up the opportunity to scare his big sister so her saved up his money & sent off for these toy soldiers.
So, I’m sure The Mist will be very well done & quite creepy!
