You know I am the queen of not knowing how to fry food. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've dumped oil in a pan & fried something. But last week, I was wanting onion rings & at NO PROMPTING FROM ANYONE I actually made & fried some onion rings.



They were amazing & so easy to make. This was a five-star recipe from allrecipes called Old Fashioned Onion Rings. Changes I made:

I DID NOT use a quart of oil. I didn't measure but I hardly had to use any oil for frying.

I didn't have many breadcrumbs left so instead of sprinkling on breadcrumbs I sprinkled on the leftover flour mixture.

I didn't use seasoned salt, I just added some more table salt once the onion rings were done frying.

Delicious!
