the essence

Yesterday was one of those days where my phone kept ringing but there was one call I was delighted to take from the USPTO. Yes, I was actually looking forward to a phone call from the government, go figure! They were calling with my reference number which brings me one step closer to filing my patent. I've been itching to do so for months now but I'm actually thankful it's taken some time because it's given me the opportunity to do a little redesign along the way.

I don't think I've mentioned that I finally got my tags in the mail several weeks ago, too.



I've also finally set up shop in my "craft studio." (that totally sounds better than "craft room/guest room!") I pulled a plastic outdoor table from the garage & set it up in my room. It shakes like crazy when I'm sewing & is a bit of an eyesore but I'm already enjoying the ease of having a table on which to lay everything out & cut fabric without being supremely cluttered. I realize that no matter how much I love crafting I have a bit of dread over it if everything is not easily accessible and organized.
