the essence

Thursday afternoon my parents came over for a little visit. It was very nice just getting to relax and hang out together (& watch a new episode of The Office!) I can't say we did anything exciting - there were some trips to Target & lots of eating. My mom began corrupting Addison with the introduction of Cheetos. Naturally, Addison loved them! (I was not so thrilled with that development)



She also enjoyed ichatting with Megan & fell in love with all of the 80's music videos my mom showed her on youtube. She stared quite intently at the screen!



Saturday morning I had a baby shower at church. (Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures) The food was good though & she received a lot of nice gifts!

The rest of the afternoon I spent just laying around the house relaxing. That evening I had a mom's night out with some of the ladies from my mom's group. We got together for a fondue dinner! It was delicious! I didn't get any pictures of the cheese fondue but we all know the best part is the chocolate, anyway.

We dipped pound cake, strawberries, bananas, kiwi, and, my favorite, rice krispie treats!





After a busy few days I made it a very early night last night to try & get some rest. Now that Spring break is over my piano students are back this week!
