the essence

We had a fun & busy weekend. Friday night I aced the snow cone machine at youth group - we brought the one I bought for Ray for his 30th birthday & the kids were thrilled! I was so busy I could barely eat until snacktime was over. They enjoyed it so much that it's been requested for our next youth group meeting.

Saturday we went to Ray's dad's & they took us a the Dade City Car Show.



The guys took Addison while I walked around with my mother-in-law & looked in some of the cute little shops. I also treated myself to a frozen hot chocolate at a local coffee house - yum! The best part though was finding a wonderful fabric store! It's small but has a decent selection & good prices.

Addison stopped for a look at the Tiger on display & we stopped & looked at the baby Beagles. Addison was giving them kisses, it was so cute!





Sunday I was so excited to see Ruth for the first time in over a year! She & her family were going to be in town for church & then we were going to go out to lunch. I kept looking out for them but when they never came I thought that maybe I had the date wrong. Later in the afternoon I found a message from Ruth: Karine was ill so they couldn't come over! I really hope we'll get to see them sometime in the near future.

Instead of hanging out with Ruth & Ernie we were invited over to Erin & Nathan's for their family lunch (it's always nice when you're grouped in with the family). Nathan grilled out delicious steaks & battles (okay, tennis matches) were fought on the Wii.





Addison had fun running around outside (like always) & looking at the cat inside with her friend Ruth.
