the essence

I know some people have been looking for an update to yesterdays post, plus, I'm going to try to answer some of the comments/questions.

For anyone not familiar with our neighbor, Megan gave a little synopsis of it on her blog.

The fence between our homes used to have harrassing writing on it by our neighbor, but she took down the tape she wrote it on (you can still make out some of the writing though)

Animal control took statements from our nice neighbors this morning & we went down & they took a statement from me, too. There is still more they need to do but they plan to go talk to our not-nice neighbor next week.

We've been advised/asked by the police & animal control not to contact anybody regarding this situation yet. They'd like a little more time to pass so that this woman gets comfortable again & maybe slips up. Right now you can tell she's on alert & probably trying to be on her best behavior. She's also been home a LOT less since Tuesday night. Also, still no underwear back in her kitchen window. The investigator from animal control said if he were to try to go talk to her now she'd probably either not answer the door or slam the door in his face.

Also, tonight is trash night for us & trash by the curb is public property. SO, once their trash goes out our nice neighbors plan to get it & go through it to see if they can find the tainted can of food. I'm hoping/thinking this woman isn't rational enough to clean it out or throw it away someplace else. From what I understand, if we find the can the food was in, have it tested, & it comes back positive for anti-freeze, THEN there may be something the police can do. I'm really hoping we find that empty can.
