the essence

If you had told me two years ago that I would enjoy being at home with no big plans on New Year's Eve I probably would've thought that was near impossible. But it turned out to be really nice. It gave me a chance to do that year-in-review post, with which I ended up having so much fun! I still love looking through those pictures.

Ray walked in the door at 11:57pm, we kissed in the new year, & enjoyed a bit of champagne.

I actually didn't make it to bed until around 2. Kate wakes up around 1 to nurse & it ended up being one of the times that took awhile for her to go back to sleep. By last night, I was falling asleep on the sofa before 10!
