the essence

Well, I hate to say it but we're still sick. The good new is that Addison's fever is pretty much non-existent during the day but keeps creeping up at night. Other than that (& a slight cough) she's pretty much back to normal.

I seemed to nip getting mastitis in the bud (cabbage leaves seriously do work) but on Thursday I started to feel a slight sore throat. Yesterday it was full-blown along with a stuffy nose. Thankgoodness my throat is already feeling better.

Unfortunately, poor Kate seems to be sick again, for the second time in her short life. Last night she became really congested. HOWEVER, she also slept for 9.5 hours straight, from 6:30-4:00!!! She didn't even really wake up at 4 but she was stirring & sniffling so I got her up to try to clean out her nose & change her & such. Poor girl. She then went back to sleep for about another 3 hours. At this rate she may just be like Addison, who started sleeping 11-13 hours at night when she was 9 weeks old.

So, we're still recovering, and the girls and I have the house to ourselves today because Ray's at the football tournament at camp. That also means the car is all mine. :) Not that I feel much for going anywhere, but I do think I'm going to induge myself in a girly movie from Redbox to watch while the girls are napping and I need to pick up pizza sauce so I can treat ourselves to some home made pizza for lunch!
