-I feel it's going to be a long six-hour shift when at the beginning of the shift I feel the need to look at the clock every ten minutes. 6:11...6:21...6:29...come on midnight!
-One thing I've noticed that I dislike about so many hours on the computer are the bloodshot eyes. Yikes. Especially when 5 years ago I suffered from a rather disturbing case of blepharitis. Anyone remember that? My left eye was so incredibly red & swollen, it was quite hideous.
I looked like this for a few months (This is one of the few photos I have available when I looked like this plus, today would've been Ellie's 11th birthday)

The opthamologist gave me meds that never really took care of it. I did find these drops at the health food store, Rich's MSM Water Drops:

The drops were amazing & worked so much better than the antibiotics the doctor gave me. (In the course of some of the antibiotics I also discovered I'm severely allergic to erythromycin & will make my eye even uglier & more painful than the blepharitis!)
So, all that to say, I'm not a fan of the bloodshot eyes, the bring back bad memories.
-You know you're a FLoridian when the weatherman announces that it will be 69 degrees at 7 the next morning so you then continue to step outside through the night to see if it's cooled off yet. Seriously, our highs have still been in the mid 90's - we sweltering here!
-Lastly, I'm super excited about my parents coming tomorrow. It's been awhile since I've seen both of them & I can't wait!
Now, it's finally past midnight which means my shift is finally over! Time to get to bed before I get back on the phones at 8am!
