the essence

Thank you to all who gave some much needed redesign blog advice last week!

I was very surprised by how many of you all said you liked the blog title The Essence. In fact, so many of you said that you liked it that I've decided to keep it! In fact, this comment from Cindi, pretty much says it all:

The meanings of Essence:

essence: the quality or qualities that make a thing what it is.

Synonyms: essentiality, nature, quintessence, soul, stuff, substance

Related Words: heart, spirit; center, core.

Pretty well sums up your blog and family.

I have always thought you have one of the best blog names.

Alas, I'm also just not inclined to make the time and put the effort into my blog design. It's too overwhleming & I'm so inept I don't think I'd be happy with the end result anyway! Enter: my very talented sister, Megan. My mom mentioned I should just send my blog info to her & let Megan change it for me; I was told Megan was jumping up & down at this idea so onto Megan it went!

She took the header picture just for my blog, so it's totally one-of-a-kind & fits me to a T! I also told her I like white backgrounds, & she obliged. I still need to tweak some things, like some very outdated links & blogrolling. But, other than that, I think I'm pretty much set.

I am a little sad to have my old commenting system gone (even though I could add it back in) but I've wanted to change to the blogger commenting anyway, I just hate not being able to see all of the comments made when I read old posts.

Which means, now it looks like a brand new blog & I need some more comments added!
