That's right, I started this particular post last Saturday & haven't touched it since. Once I go awhile without blogging it can be so difficult to get back into it. Plus, the cord to my Mac broke so I now longer have a laptop in the family room & I just haven't felt like sitting in the office much more than needed.
It feels wonderful to be home. I'm beat, I must say. The trip was great but the train ride did me in. It's rough (not) sleeping upright on a train.
Addison had a blast thought & pretty much slept the whole night through. Kate was up a bit more, especially once the train stopped in the middle of the night for a couple of hours due to a freight train in front of us that was stopped for an investigation. Rumor has it that the freight train hit a "trespasser." That did create quite a delay & the entire trip home ended up taking over 24 hours & Ray had to miss his first shift working.

Other than all of that, the train itself was pretty nice, even if Ray did call it a glorified bus. I guess it is, but I'd never travelled by either before & I don't believe I'll ever have an itch for a mass transit vacation. It was fun to experience & they even did a great job with the meals.

Everything else since getting home? Working 7 days straight, which really did me in. The whole pregnant thing kind of made it a bit worse. After Monday I was able to get more sleep, though, & I haven't felt nearly as bad since then. In fact, I've never felt as good during the first trimest as I have this pregnanct. The huge difference in how I feel makes me think it might be a boy. For Ray's sake, I really hope it's a boy. He really wants one. I'm fine either way & could see myself doing well with all girls & having a totally new experience with a boy!
Speaking of girls, my grandmother called & while I was chatting with her Kate came crawling out of my closet with red ALL. OVER.

Turns out she found one of my lipsticks & went to town, what a girl!

Maybe you need a boy to balance it out! Bethany is right into lipstick too, but at least she only gets it all over her face!
Kate is so cute! She has changed so much since I last saw her...which was nearly 2 months ago!
I love train rides. I have been enjoying your pics of your vacation too!
