Butterfly Birthday

I started planning the girls birthday party a couple of months ago. Basically I was planning a bit in my mind without actually doing anything. Now, just 2.5 weeks away, I finally made the invitations & started mailing them out today. They look much better in person & they match the fabric that I bought for the party (at half off!).

I'm still in a dilemma over who all to invite. I want to keep it small & was originally thinking of just inviting grandparents & a few of the girls closest little friends. I still need to talk to Ray about this though, mainly because I know he tends to like bigger gatherings & his family is really close so he may want to invite more. It really isn't a big deal, but I was tallying it up & if we do invite the whole family in the area & if, hypothetically, they all come it could be around 30 or 40 people with just family. We shall see, possibly the more the merrier!

We always have lots of friends and family at the girls' parties. We reserve shelters at county parks. We celebrated Jessica's 5th birthday at Ft. De Soto. Ally's 4th birthday we recently celebrated close to home at Crews Lake Wilderness Park. We reserved the shelter for Jessica's birthday almost 6 months before the party!

Keep it small. You're having all the family over for Thanksgiving.
I mailed the cookie cutters today.

I'm sure the girls have some grandparents who would have their own birthday parties for them at their homes. hint, hint
