I miss having energy, too, & just haven't been able to bring myself to go sit in the office if I don't have to be in there to work. Normally I'd use the mac my talented uncle kindly refurbished for me, but it got kicked off the sofa by Addison during a fit & the power cord is no more. I have hopes to get an extra from Megan which should mean a little more time online.
Ever since getting home from our vacation I've been in a mood for Christmas. I think this must be for two reasons:
1. I don't feel great & Christmasy stuff is a comfort thing.
2. I got to experience an amazing Autumn on our trip so I guess now it feels like it's the right time for Christmas! (Not to mention we even saw snow, something that doesn't even happen here in the winter)
I usually have a strict rule, instilled in me by my mom, that there is nothing Christmasy until after Thanksgiving. Movies, music, decorations, whatever. I just want to enjoy the Autumn. This week I decided I didn't need this rule & on Thursday I watched Elf. I didn't tell my mom this, yet on Friday I found out she watched Elf, too! We really are connected.
The movie reminded me of three Christmases ago when Megan went out for the night & my mom & I "elfed" her room. This was completely my mom's doing & she'd been planning it for a month, cutting out paper snowflakes, making paper chains & loading the fan with shredded paper so that it would "snow" when Megan turned it on.

I can't wait until my kids are old enough to appreciate that kind of thing, I'm totally going to do that to them!!!

I remember that! i also remember I set Megans fan on "hi" instead of "low" and instead of snow gently falling on her, the fan went WHOOSH and she was pelted with shreds of paper. It kind of freaked her out.
I feel CHRISTmas-y year round because I just love that time of year (the magic-y, kid-like feel~not the gift part)!
I remember you blogging about you & your Mom doing this in Megan's room. That was a HOOT!
