I took her out so that she could eat & I dozed on & off on the sofa. Ray had to work so I took the girls to our friend Abby's third birthday party. It was so nice to see everyone!
Not only was Abby's birthday yesterday, two of the little boys there, brothers also had birthdays. One of them is today, the other is tomorrow & Addison's is the next day. It's a busy week for birthdays!
I did have to hurry home, where I napped for a few minutes only to be awoken by Ray telling me that my three piano students were here. I'd set my alarm to go off before they arrived but I accidentally set it for "am" & not "pm." :) It was after arriving home that I also found out Kate had a fever - I definitely wouldn't have taken her to the party if she'd been sick in the morning!
I had to take the girls out to get some essentials like toothpaste & wipes in the midst of the crowds & I was able to sneak in about a 10 minute nap before I had to start work from 8:30pm-12:30am. THAT'S why I shouldn't have woken up at 4:20 in the morning. I was hoping for some great sleep after work but mommy duty called & I was up a bit with Kate through the night. I started getting a sore throat too but now I realize it's probably because we turned on our heat for the first time last night & I always get a sore throat the first time we turn on the heat each year.
Anyway, with Kate being sick I had to forgo the twins birthday party today. I know it's probably for the best as I also need my rest so Ray took Addison while I stayed home with Kate. He called to tell me that he may be bringing me some pizza home from the party but while I wait for that I had some Thanksgiving leftovers: turkey, cranberry sauce & pecans wrapped in a lettuce leaf!
Now I'm just relaxing on the sofa watching The Holiday and Kate's sleeping for now. it just breaks my heart when the kids are sick!
