Yes, that's what we call her. Kate turned one last Saturday. Her personality is just that, simply sweet. One of my favorite things she does is that she'll come right up to you & lay her head on your lap. Even in nursery with people she hardly knows, she'll crawl right up to them, climb on their lap & lay her head on their shoulder.
Kate now has 10 teeth, including the second molar that's coming in right now. We also discovered this week that she likes espresso beans. I didn't want her to have them because I considered them a choking hazard. But, Addison had grabbed my bag of espresso beans & snuck one to Kate before I could stop her & Kate rather enjoyed it. It must be a genetic thing.
She's not walking yet & doesn't even have an interest in it if we hold her arms & try to walk her. Instead she just plops down on the d=ground. She can cruise just fine & can stand perfectly balanced while eating but she hasn't taken any real steps yet. Kate's not verbal at all either. She makes lots of noises and does say "mama" but that's about it. So different from Addison. When Addison was younger & I checked the averages Addison was off the charts when it came to her vocabulary! (I suppose it was a sign of things to come)
It's so fun having kids with such different personalities. Kate is such an easy-going happy little girl. She's such a daddy's girl, too, & just lights up when she sees him.
One thing Kate & Addison do have in common? Their love of the cat!
On tomorrow agenda is driving up to Ray's dads' & going to the tree farm & finally getting out Christmas tree!
