Date with the Girls

I'm so looking forward to tomorrow. I'm not working *at all* & I'm very excited planning a trip out with the girls. We still don't have a car so I'm looking forward to a walk with them to Target. I think it should be pretty nice out & it's definitely good exercise! I also received a certificate in the mail today for a free oatmeal from Starbucks which I just may use while we're there.

I'm very thankful I can walk to Target. Especially right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm so ready to have a car & it's a bit frustrating to be stuck at home. I have packages piled up that need to be mailed & lists of items I need at other stores to which I'm not able to walk. Obviously they're not live or die items, but the list is growing. Ray's mom has graciously loaned us her car on the weekends so we've been able to run a few more errands and go to church.

I can't believe it's been over a month since we've had a car! We initially had some issues being able to get one, but the Lord has really brought things together as far as that goes. We've narrowed it down to the type of car we plan to get and now we're just trying to find the right one. We've had so many problems with our cars in the past that we don't want to rush into buying one & then regret it.

As of right now we're planning on a used Toyota Sienna. Honda Odyssey's were a little higher on our list but they're also a little higher in price. Does anyone out there have experience with a Sienna? Do you like it?

In other news, Kate has finally started walking! It's so cute watching her take these careful little steps all over the house! I still haven't been able to get a decent video of her walking but I do have this video of one the funny things she does. Kate likes to shake her head back & forth real quick; I'm thinking Addison used to do that, too.

We have a 2005 Sienna that we bought brand new and I have loved it. I've had little problems with it here and there but nothing that broke the bank. I'm thinking about trading it in though...the boys are getting big and I'm ready for an SUV. I'm kind of over the minivan stage since they're grown. I've loved it though. I think you'll enjoy it!

Hi! We owned a Honda Oddessy for 8 years and just a few months ago traded it in for a brand new Sienna. I really loved both. They are neck and neck with ratings and such. My husband only wants us to own Hondas or Toyota. He thinks they are the best. If I had to pick I would say I like the Sienna a bit more. I like the shape better and the room inside feels bigger to me. Hope it works out!

My parents have had a Sienna for 4+ years and it's been a really good car. I think the biggest problem that they've had was with replacing tires.... but that can happen with any car.
