It's a Job

In this economy we are grateful to have jobs, but truth be told, Ray & I really really dislike (okay, the word hate is used quite often) our job. It's very easy for us to complain about it, especially for me because I find the saying "Misery loves company" very true for me.

So, rather than complain, I'm going to tell you everything about our job that I'm thankful for.

1. We're home
2. We're home with the kids so we don't have to put them in child care
3. I don't have to worry about perfume when I'm working
4. When I take breaks I can see my family
5. When I finish work at midnight I can be in bed less than ten minutes later
6. We don't need to spend money for a "professional" wardrobe
7. I don't have a pile of men's dress shirts to iron (right, Rach?!?) :)
8. We've been able to travel to some places that we might not have gone to otherwise
9. I have zero commute time

When I think of more I'll add them, but for now I've just finished one of those midnight shifts & want to go to bed!

I have to say - the working at home - no daycare for your kids, not having to buy a professional wardrobe, the travel perks - all sound great to me! Where do I sign up? I'm sick of teaching other people's kids :D

This is the first time in years that I've looked at your blog! I'm sitting at work, bored. Your thankful's sound nice! How many hours a week do you work? This sounds like a nice job!:)
