So, we now have the quest to find a boy's name. Ray is named after his dad, he is Raymond Clay H II & thinks it would be great to have his son named after him. However, Ray grew up being called "Little Ray" & I just don't want that happening to our son. So, if Ray really really wants this boy named after him my compromise will be to call him by his middle name, Clay.
If Ray doesn't insist on naming our son after him, I'm trying to think of other names I like. I do like the names Connor & Colin, but I don't know if Conner really goes well with out last name. I've liked the name Jackson for about 10 years but it's become so popular now that I'm not sure I'd want to use it. I am really liking the name Connor right now, I must say. Any thoughts or ideas?
With a boy on the way & so many of my friends having boys now I've started on "boy" sewing projects. Last week when Addison was at my parents' house I spent Tuesday night sewing - until midnight! I didn't get any more sleep with Addison away but I was much more rested! I was able to use some of that fabric that I purchased on Sunday!
I really didn't intend on sewing that late but I was on a roll! I started with these "peepee teepees." They were super easy & "cute" in their own way! I made some of them for Rach, who is due this Friday, & who's husband is a Buc's fan! My goal was to find either the Bucs or Bulls fabric & I was able to find a Bucs Fleece (flannel would be best).
I also couldn't pass up this super cute flannel!
I was also on a mission to find a not-too-girly damask print in order to make a changing pad for Rach. I looked online, I looked at Joann's more than once but couldn't find one so I found this cute fabric instead:
I have yet to do anything with the felt sheets I purchased but I know exactly what I'm going to do with them!

I find boy names so much more difficult than girl names. I really like Clay though, and bonus that he would be named after Ray.
There's a "Jaxon" in Jessica's class. I like the name and I think the spelling is unique. To me "Jackson" is a last name. I like the idea of naming him after Ray, though, because I'm into family names.
"Brewier" is a family name. :)
D has a Jaxon in his class, the boy's brother is named Jett, which i think is a pretty cool name.
I have an Archibald but we call him Archie. He really suits the name as he such a character.
I'm so excited that you two are having a boy! You might want to take Sam/Gator for a weekend to experience what serious boys are like.
I like the name "Clay" as a first name. I also like Raymond, too! How about Clay Raymond? :) Hey, Lucas is a nice name, also! :) We like the name Wyatt for a boy, and also Samuel. Good luck coming up with a name! I'm sure whatever you choose will be perfect. Peepee teepees ... adorable!!!
Middle names are a great compromise. If we have a boy, we are using my husband's middle name (Lewis). I hope you find something that fit. Our dilemma is the other side - we've got a boy name sorted but need a girl name now :)
when I was working at the gym there was10 little boys under the age of 3 named conner.... it is really popular... if you like jackson why not go with jonathon and call him jack? sorry about the badttping,,, pumping and typing with one hand
