When using a hot glue gun, if the hot glue drips onto your skin & you are more focused on your project rather than wiping the glue away, you will end up with more than a surface burn. This is one instance where it hurts worse than it looks. I was completely shocked by the pain I was in when it happened & then as the day wore on my skin started swelling & pain radiated into my hand. Wow.
