This should be easy for me, I enjoy organizing. But I can never seem to keep on top of this:
If you've ever stayed with us, then, you probably know that this is the closet in our guest/craft/library/Clays' room (poor boy). I organize & situate but it doesn't last long. I really think if I had the proper means for storage it would make a huge difference. As it is, those are crates with Clays' clothes in them. The opening of the closet is much smaller than the actual closet making it rather difficult to get to said clothes. The ones he wears most often are
The wire drawers hold sewing paraphernalia & patterns, project items, school material for the girls & some decorating supplies. The drawers were a curbside find; nice, but not quite right for the job. The school supplies is shoved in so deep that it's overwhelming to go through it all - things start to fall through the wire holes!
To the right are some rolling drawers - puzzles are set on top, which don't fit into the actual "school supplies" drawer, & this holds some more project supplies & coloring books, crayons & paints.
And, to the far right are a couple of more bins. They hold freehand exercise equipment & another bin holds old photos.
I put Clay in our room to start off tonight in an attempt to make a dent at organizing this closet (it's nearly impossible to do this when the kids area awake, they're much too enticed by all of the cool stuff I pull out of there!). It's 10:05 & barely a dent has been made. In fact, I've only been able to go through some of the stuff on the shelf at the top of the closet, which you can't even see in the photo.
I've really got the itch to figure out a way to make this space work!
