Reenactment

On Saturday we drove up to the Dade City/Bushnell area to watch a war reenactment set between soldiers & the Seminole Indians, which took place in the 1800's.

Ray had never been to a reenactment before & I hadn't been since I was young! Ray so e joyed himself that he says he wants to participate next year.






There was a whole period festival going on with lots of booths full of period items, costumes & information. One gentleman set up "camp," complete with all of the food the soldiers ate while they were out. I was so surprised with how little they ate (& kept thinking how boring it must've been to eat the same thing every single day!).

There was also this absolutely gorgeous tree on the grounds. It was huge & the branches draped to the ground so beautifully!
