the essence

It's finally stopped raining. But now it's cold, which I guess is better, & at least there's no snow. Sometimes I wish there was snow here, but only for a day or so. Long enough for me to enjoy it but short enough so that I don't get tired of it.

Now the lake is about 60 feet closer to our apartment then it had been before. Let's just say I'm glad we live on the second floor. I still check for gators under the stairs when I take the trash out though.

Less than 4 days until we leave for NYC & we still don't have warm clothes. We're supposed to go shopping for some today after chapel.

Well, I have some soup to go eat before we leave.
