the essence

Another day...another work & school day. :p It sure was nice having a long weekend & I'm really looking forward to going to Orlando this weekend! :)

I talked to my mom on the phone last night & I asked her advice for a project I have to do. It's for my human relationship skills counseling class so it's a pretty weird project, the kind that you ask "what's the point?". Anyway, we have to make a "totum pole" (out of a toilet paper roll) by cutting out animals to represent the members in our family & puotting them on there. I'm terrible at really creative stuff like that so I asked my mom for advice. :) So, here's what she came up with:

-Megan (my sister) - monkey because she's entertaining
-My mom - a bear because she's protective (that one was actually my idea!!!) :)
-My dad - a turtle because he's slow, steady, & wins the race
-Ray (my husband) - a monkey because he's also entertaining & has energy
-Me - an owl because I'm observing & sit back & watch what's going on

Thank you mom!!!!

Also, CONGRATULATIONS to my friend Caroline who got engaged Christmas Eve & is getting married on Feb. 15 in WV (I wish I could go!!!)
