the essence

Today has been so nice. :)

First of all, I got to go to church back home. I still really miss it. When I go back it kind of makes me sad not to be there anymore & it also makes me realize how good I had it growing up as far as churches go. I wish I could have it that good again.

Anyway, Nick D. was there too! It's been almost four years since I'd seen him & he got to meet Ray too. It was really nice to talk to him again. And we found out that he, his brother, & some of the other guys go paintballing which instantly interested Ray.

Back at home Greg, Melissa & Sam were here, all of the Nix's came over, & we ordered pizza. And of course, there was coffee. Always a given. :)

We laughed a lot, I held the baby, Eva, dreaming. :) The amazing thing is how much she likes Ray. She loves to watch him & was snuggling up against him when he held her. :) One day.

We were actually talking about that on Thanksgiving. Exactly two years from now is when it could happen. I know mom will be happy. :) The funny thing is, Mom's been telling me since I was fifteen that she wants grandkids & Ray's mom still says she's not ready to be a grandmother. I can see that though, his mom doesn't strike me as the very homey, grandmotherly type.

Anyway, After everyone left we put in Christmas music & mom & I decorated the Christmas tree. Now we're relaxing watching "Home Alone." The classic Christmas movie. I'm sad to have to go back home tonight. I'd like this vacation to keep on going. At least school's almost over with, it'll be nice only having work for a month.
