the essence

Just got back from eating lunch at Welch's Riverside Diner in town. We stopped at McNeal's to buy some seeds for the garden my cousin, Carmen, wants to plant & Raystarted talking to a guy who worked there. Turned out its Mr. McNeal who owns the store & he's been looking for investment property down in our area of Florida. Good thing I keep Ray's business cards on me!

The Old Stone Jail in front of the courthouse was open today & I took Ray inside since he'd never been. We even went down to the deep dark basement (it was slightly creepy). On our way back to my grandparents we stopped to lookat this old house which, according to my grandfather, housed outlaws over 100 years ago.

Anyway, Brett did end up stopping by Tuesday evening. We just talked & all but it was really nice. Yesterday Ray & I drove over to Cincinatti, OH & watched Brett in action working at Skyline Chili while we ate lunch. It tasted so good & it's a lot cheaper than the Skyline I went to in Florida!

After we got home yesterday Ray & my grandfather spent the rest of the afternoon tilling part of the old garden so that Carmen can plant some stuff for the summer. I even went out there & worked the till a bit! I was in flip flops so I didn't last too long.

Now I think they're outside moving a generator or something. I don't know, those two are usually outside most of the day if we're at home.

I've been eating so much junk on our vacation. I'm trying to be careful but I'm definitely enjoying ymself. The nice thing about a vacation is all of the time I've had to workout. I've worked out every day since Saturday & tried two or three different weight & yoga workouts since I've been gone. Brett should be on his way here now so I better go exercise before he gets here!
