Thank you to everyone for the anniversary wishes. :) We had a great evening alone. I nixed our original plans to go to a nice restaurant in favor of staying home with no distractions.

I got out of work early, picked up a little somethin’ somethin’ for Ray at Fredericks of Hollywood, stopped at Victoria’s Secret & a department store on my way out of the mall to see if I could find some new lingerie, but instead opted for something I received before we even got married that I just haven’t worn yet.

We had pizza at home for dinner & rented a movie. He brought me home a pretty assortment of flowers & surprised me with breadsticks with the pizza (something he knows I always want but never get). It is DEFINITELY the little things that make it special, not spending a lot of money.

Sound boring? It wasn’t. It was just wonderful to spend an uninterrupted night at home together & to do something different & less traditional on our anniversary.

Tonight I have plans to get everything packed for our vacation so we can leave as soon as I get home tomorrow (yea!).

I have some CVS gift cards from transferring my prescription over there & yesterday I used one of them to stock up on some magazines for the long car ride & the stay at our grandparents homes. Today I gathered up a lot of our change lying around & took it to the bank during my lunch break. I had it all converted to cash to use as “extra” money on our trip in order to buy things we probably wouldn’t normally be able to buy. I’m thinking a meal while we’re at the Biltmore and/or possibly some items at the winery.

On my way home tonight I'll stop at the grocery store to buy some things for our trip (I've already stocked up on water & some healthy snack foods).

The good thing is our place is still pretty much clean from having Ray's family over on Monday so I'm hoping it will stay that way until we leave tomorrow so we can come home without the dread of having to pick the place up. I really love having a clean home; that sort of thing is very important to me.

I'm getting so excited about our vacation. I'm sure the coffee I had a bit ago is adding to the adrenaline I'm feeling too. :)
