the essence

I don't want to go to work! :p

I have a project to do that I'm dreading. It's completely mindless but that's why I don't want to do it, it's so boring. Blah. Today is a beach day anyway.

I had a great weekend. My family came to visit from Orlando on Sunday because Dad had an audition in this area. We were able to take them to see the house & I became so excited while I was there that I started jumping up & down. :) Saturday night Ray & I went to Lowes to look at paint color, flooring, moulding, & such.

Mom & Dad also brought my birthday present, green bamboo placemats that not only look good, but they feel nice & make a clinking domino like noise when you set them on the table. I wa actually with Mom when she bought them & had liked them a lot. I also got a nice tea magazine & some shopping money. :)

Last night we went to Rach & Conrad's for dinner with a very cute pregnant Jen (who brought sonogram pictures!) & Gabe, & with Val & Steve who are in town right now. It was fun but I ended up leaving a couple hours earlier than everyone else because I was so tired & needed to do some things before bed. There were 5 people at dinner last night who are teachers & have the luxury of no work today & the summer off. Why did I decide to get out of the teaching program again?
