the essence

You'll never guess where I went last night: Chuck E. Cheese!

No joke, I hadn't been since I was in grade school. And you know what? I actually had fun! Rachel's two youngest sisters, Joanna & Christiana, got into town yesterday & the youngest, Christiana, is turning 11 this month. Around 7:15 she said she was wanting to go to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday so we decided to go right then.

Rachel bought $20 worth of tokens (over 100 of them) & each game was only 1 token each. It was a much better deal than I thought it'd be. We had so much fun being silly with the girls, playing tons of games (I still rock at skee ball!), & getting our pictures "sketched" (a photo booth that makes it look lie your photo is being sketched into a black & white drawing).

By the end of the night we had over 400 tickets which only bought about $2 worth of birthday prizes for Christiana. And because she's so thoughtful she actually only bought one prize for her herself & one for the rest of us (I got a candy bracelet, woohoo!). :)

Tonight we have a potentially big group of people going bowling & thankfully the bowling alley & maybe a mile from our apartments which means I can easily leave early if I want. Tomorrow Randa, my French friend, & I are driving over to Orlando to hang out with my family & go to Citywalk. She was wanting something fun to do but I don't really know of a whole lot of fun things to do in Tampa & I thought it'd be nice for her to meet my family too.

Unfortunately we have a lot of rain in our weekend forecast because of Hurricane Dennis. Hopefully it won't turn & directly hit us. Not to be pessimistic or anything but I think we have a lot more headed our way throughout the season.

But rain aside its still Friday!
