the essence

Just 40 more minutes until lunch! Or at least my lunch break. I'm of the mindset that if I'm going to buy something during lunch I'd rather buy coffee & just eat food brought from home. Plus, the way I eat every 2-3 hours my lunch doesn't usually fall around noon.

So, I'm just looking forward to sitting at Barnes & Noble for an hour with some really good coffee.

Guess what? After today I only have 18 days left at this job! I've been trying to get them to find someone to replace me for around 6 months now & when I told them last week that my afternoons with my other job has increased they had someone in to interview two days later. It wasn't a shock or anything for me, I even helped with the interview. On Friday I was told that they'd hired the woman, she'll start the 18th, & I'll train her for two weeks & then I'll be done!

I'm sad, because this has been the best office to work at. And, I've been here for over 2.5 years & just really like this place. But, I'm also excited because as much as I don't like change I also don't like being in a rut so I'm looking forwad to starting something different. Another good this is that our move-in date for the house is August 5 so this should be great timing to give me a chance to prepare everything for the move (our closing date is next Friday - I'm still ecstatic about the house!).
