How wonderful are three day weekends??? I love them!

We had the speaker over for lunch today, along with two other families. There were only 10 of us total but it sure did cramp up our little apartment. It was fun though & the food was yummy...the best part of course was the dessert. I made Marilyn's delicious ice cream crunch cake, one of my favorite desserts, easy, & great for summer!

Friday night was lots of fun at Jen's house. It was just an informal birthday gathering with LOTS of pizza & desserts & a game of Taboo, guys against the girls. At the end it was a tie, with a possibility of the guys winning by one point but I think they cheated a little.

Ray & I were there until a little after 1 (the guys were playing foosball a good part of the night) & then poor Ray had to go to work in the morning. We cleaned the chapel in the afternoon with Conrad & Rachel & then Rachel & I figured that since the guys were going to game that we would rent Hitch & have Conrad make us daiquiris & margaritas. They also bought a fog machine yesterday for the week Conrad's directing at camp this month (their theme is Lost, like the tv show) so we tested it out on their back porch. It was very cool & the guys seemed quite captivated by it.

It was another late night last night & I was so tired that I don't even remember turning off my alarm this morning so I was late in getting the roast started. Thankfully everything cooked fine in time for lunch though.

Now, the guys are off at one of the apartments gaming again & I'm enjoying an evening home alone not worrying about working tomorrow. :) Party at 4:00 & fireworks with the family at night.

P.S. CONGRATULATIONS to Amanda! How exciting! :)
