Back to the land of the living! Sort of.
We are without Internet access at our house at the moment. Hopefully that will begin to be remedied today. I took the laptop & I'm at the "office" right now (my friend who I work for - we all work out of the house).
Anyway, we are finally in our own home! It's so exciting. We both really love it too, every night Ray's been talking about how much he likes it. It really is such a blessing, there are very few things about the place that we don't like.
Thankfully my family came over on Saturday to help us move. AND, my dad surprised us by renting a Uhaul & bringing over my piano (which they've been holding for me for over three years!) & the washer & dryer they gave to us! Talk about a surprise! I didn't think I'd be able to wash clothes for at least a week!
And, my dad being the handy man that he is, hooked up the washer & dryer, installed the new chandelier we bought 75% off at Lowes (only $28.50! it supposedly evokes Old Colonial Williamsburg I believe & it is replacing a tacky plastic & gold thing that had been hanging up in the dining room), & supplied a pair of strong arms to carry lots of heavy furniture.
My mom also helped with peeling off the ugly wallpaper border, prepping my craft room to be painted, taking down frilly lace curtains, putting stuff away, & so on.
Megan helped with some of the above as well & she also helped us clean out the apartment. Poor girl I don't think she knew what she was getting herself into when she said she'd help with the cleaning.
Anyway, things are coming together nicely. Despite a slight bout with a cold I seem to have suffered over the weekend, I still got a lot done myself. Ray & I put a lot of stuff away yesterday. Hopefully today/tomorrow we can start painting my craft room!
