Ray & I had a GREAT time down in WPB. We hadn't been down just to visit Nick & Heather since Labor Day three years ago & they weren't even a couple at that point so Ray & I spent most of the days apart last time.
We stayed at their townhome & it is SO NICE. I'd been there before back in May but now they have a tons of great furniture & cute little decorations which make the biggest difference in how a place looks. I can't wait to get our place completely painted. We worked on it a little bit Tuesday & I think we're going to paint some more today. It's driving me crazy having so much junk piled around. Almost every room has the stuff pulled away from the walls & piled in the middle of the floor. Plus, we have a huge pile of stuff to get rid of just sitting in the living room. I don't think we have enough for a garage sale but we have SO much more than I want to have to drop off at a charity center.
Anyway, our weekend was great, we didn't do anything "exciting" but I can be very low-key so that was fine with me. A lot of the time we ended up spltting up guys & girls. Heather & I went shopping Saturday, Sunday, & Monday. :) Nick greeted us on Friday night with cranberry martinis, appletinis, whiskey, & beer. And the guys sat around talking until the wee hours of the morning smoking hookahs (I left that to Ray this time, trying one awhile back was enough for me).
Saturday we also drove around West Palm, saw Worth Avenue (like Rodeo Drive), saw Donald Trumps' MANSION (not the one he's remodeling or whatever). It was gargantuan. It was behind a large wall but when we drove over the intercoastal (his house is positioned on the ocean AND the intercoastal) you could see the back of the place - huge yard, several different buildings. The other houses out there had looked so large until you saw his & then they looked a bit on the small side.
Audrey came over to hang out with us Saturday night. The guys went & picked up take-out for us. They had Chinese & between the three of us girls we ate an ENTIRE pizza - not the little chain kinds, but one of those huge New York style pizzas. We talked for a nice long time while the guys gamed.
Sunday we went to church in the morning (it was so nice not having to be there until 11:00) & then to the mall for lunch. The guys then went back to the house & gamed while we girls shopping again. I found some really cute stuff over the weekends & of course I got great deals. That's just how I shop.
When we got home the guys were still gaming (I think Ray played about 7-8 hours that day) so Heather & I watched Never Been Kissed. We're both suckers for the last scene when Michael Vartan is running down the stairs, I think it makes us happy. :)
We finally got so hungry we went to Publix & bought a bunch of frozen food to heat up for dinner. We had bagel bites, taquitos, potato skins, & jalapeno poppers. Heasther & I talked forever giggling & all just like old times.
Monday the weather wasn't the best but the guys still went on the boat so, of course, Heather & I shopped!
After going out to dinner that evening Ray & I left to head home. We made it around 11:30. I had such a nice time. It was so relaxing & fun & makes me not want to get back to work!
