the essence

Ray and I are in Pennsylvania at Ruth & Ernie's house right now. This is our eighth state since leaving Thursday night.

We made it to D.C. Thursday, met Ray's best friend from high school in one of the suburbs & had lunch with her at a Mexican place. Then, we headed to DC & I proceeded to drive around the city for about 2 hours. Parking was completely horrendous & the parking garages charged $7/hour & $11/2 hours. Ridiculous. So, after a couple of hours we drove to Potomac, Maryland where Ernies parents live in a 12,000 SQUARE FOOT HOUSE. I kid you not, it was the biggest house I've ever stayed in. All 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 3 stories, & a basement.

Ernie & Ruth met us there & we all went around DC together on Saturday, smartly taking the metro. It was lots of fun, we even got Ray to try sushi. That night we headed to Pennsylvania & we've been at Rith & Ernies since. I had planned on writing mroe & trying to post pictures, but we're about to head out so I've got to get going!
