Funny story of the day:
One Sunday a month, after the evening meeting, those who are so inclined may stick around to sing hymns (lets just say I've never been so inclined). Those in the audience may request whatever they wish from the hymnbook & the person playing the piano will direct everybody.
So, there are four young boys who sit together & they were very bored & wanted to go home. VERY badly. One of them requested we sing "The Star Spangled Banner." A little odd, but he was obliged. Then another boy called out a number to sing & the boys around him started laughing. No one knew why until they turned to that hymn & saw the title:
I'm Going Home
He really did call out that hymn. Most everyone seemed to think it was funny except for the piano player who got quite upset & refused to play the hymn to sing.
I got a good laugh when I heard this, especially since I know the people involved which just makes imagining their reactions all the more priceless. :)
