the essence

We have a cold front moving through but first its bringing lots of rain and dampness through here. That is not good for our painting endeavors because paint does not dry well if its too humid.

We do have our painting supplies out & I started to blue tape stuff but Ray just wants to take a shot at freehand. We only bought one gallon of the paint we're going to use to make sure that we like it. Its the same color as our living room but 25% lighter because the family room doesn't get as much natural light as the living room & I don't want the color to be too dark. I'm hoping it looks okay though & doesn't look like make-up. I'm not a big fan of the make-up paint look.

Last night we stopped at one of Ray's clients to drop off shoes that were delivered for her while they were out of town & they asked Ray to pick up for them so they wouldn't set outside the whole time. We ended up visiting for awhile & we're going back for dinner tonight. I'm bringing dessert & I'm planning on making my chocolate raspberry torte if I can find the recipe. I'm also going to babysit for this family on Friday night. All money will go to a new table for our kitchen (I can't wait to get it!).
