the essence

We made it home! That was a LONG trip & I'm glad to be back. I can't say I'm in the swing of things yet because I was so tired today that I haven't done much of anything. I did some grocery shopping & right now I'm making a chicken pot pie, but most of my day was spent with Rach.

I'm finally going to post some pictures from our trip too (yea for pictures & a camera that works!). These are all from DC.

And I thought this was a super cool shot of the escalators at one metro entrance. These were seriously the longest escalators I can remember ever going on, so high that I was getting a little worried about toppling backward the higher we got.
