the essence

Our vacation is slowly winding to an end and the last few days have been quite relaxing. I've finished 4 pages in my scrapbook too! They don't follow any kind of order, two were from our first Christmas married & the other two were from Heather's bachelorette party this past June.

Brett is coming again tonight (third day in a row!) & we've ordered pizza from Snappy Tomatoes. He's also going to bring the new Batman movie with him since Ray & I haven't seen it yet. We're also supposed to have our campfire tonight & make s'mores again.

We went for lunch at Welch's Riverside Restaurant today, stopped at an antique/junk store where I bought a necklace for $1, & Ray & I went to Butler State Park & walked around a bit.

I do believe I'm ready to get home. The cooled weather up here has really made me in the mood for fall & even Christmas & I want to get home & bake, cook, & plan get togethers (I'm not thinking about all of the work & cleaning that also has to be done - why bother my mind with that stuff?).

The leaves here are really looking beautiful. I'm so glad we got the timing right to hit the changing leaves. We're taking lots (probably too many) pictures & hopefully I can post some when we get home.
