the essence

Last night we had a great dinner at Maggianno's with one of Ray's old high school buddies, Dominic, who invited a slew of other people as well. Jen & Gabe were also there because Gabe went to high school with the guys as well.

I had the stuffed mushrooms again. They're SO goood & I still had room for dessert. :)

We finally bought our Christmas tree on Sunday too! I successfully have the lights up & some beaded garland, but we still don't have any ornaments on it. If Ray & I don't have time to do that together today I'll probably just do it myself.

I also went grocery shopping yesterday & bought ingredients to get started with my Christmas cookie baking. I love Christmas cookies. It's probably best that I don't keep too many in the house though because I have an incredible sweet tooth!!!

Another thing, my Honey Baked Ham days are over. I lasted a whole two hours before the perfume got to me. I hadn't even thought about that when I said yes to the seasonal job, but there was a lot of perfume in a little space.

It's another cold morning, we had two extra blankets on our bed last night! I think I might go wrap some Christmas presents.
