the essence

I am so very very tired.

I had a busy day Thursday, spending the day with Jen after first making this delicious quiche for a little brunch at her house (I couldn't leave Ray out so I made him some chocolate chip waffles). This was the first time I tried this quiche recipe & it turned out so well, even though I made a couple of modifications.

I didn't get home until around 5 that evening. I gave Addison some banana for the first time & it's the only thing I've given her that she's actually eaten & attempted to swallow.

I called it an early night & went to bed, only to wake up every hour throughout the night. I think Addison caught a little bug that caused her to have very odd (& green) stools. She'd wake up crying & then wouldn't go back to sleep for over an hour, she'd just lay in bed talking to herself. And, of course, this was also the night a wrong number decided to call in the wee hours of the morning just after I'd fallen back asleep.

Addison ran a bit of a fever yesterday & the weird & frequent stools have continued into today. She slept better last night but I still didn't get much sleep.

We had an "Office" party & Jen & gabe's last night. We watched some of the British "Office," some of the American "Office," & then watched the first three episodes of "24." It was SO good! I've purposely avoided that show because I figured I'd get hooked.

I didn't get to bed until around 2 this morning & then I was up again with Addison around 4:30 & 6:30. Overall she seems okay, she's still been smiling but definitely more mellow. And, from all the frequent wiping, she seems to have a bit of diaper rash for the first time ever. Poor girl.

This evening we're driving to Orlando for Katie's bridal shower tomorrow. Yea! I'll get to see Heather there, too, I haven't seen her since December!
